Ever since my favorite scrapbook store in the whole entire world closed, my scrapbooking area has been a mess. I don’t mean to blame it on the store itself, but once I didn’t have a place to go my little area I had set aside just wasn’t enough and over time it has become the last place I wanted to spend time. I just didn’t have enough space and the space I did have just didn’t work. My supplies were close to me and organized but once I needed to use more than a couple of things it looked like a hurricane had hit.
I am super excited that my first class at Young at Art is coming up! July 23rd from 1-3, I will be teaching a mommy/daddy and me class on how to make a beach mini-album out of envelopes and cards. Taelin helped me with this album and we had a lot of fun together so I think it would be great for a special project for a parent and child. Taelin and I made ours using pictures from Taelin’s school field trip to Camp Westwind in June.
If you want to save your spot today you can register here, there are still a few spots left! All you need to provide is pictures, everything else I will have ready for you. I hope to see you there.
I kind of feel like this is some kind of special edition of Tuesday Photo Take! Not only do I have pictures to share but some pretty exciting news. A little over a year and a half ago, I discovered this magical little local art studio for kids. If I wasn’t so grateful that it existed, I would be a little cranky that I didn’t think of the idea first.
You may or may not remember my post where I talked of my plan to create a December Daily mini-book for 2011. The idea behind it is that you capture the moments of December and put them all in a scrapbook. Because December is usually a crazy month, ideally you try and finish as much as the scrapbook ahead of time so that all you have to do is stick the pictures in later and journal. It is something I have been wanting to do for the Taelin’s first two Christmas’ but it didn’t happen…but it did this year!!!
Here are a few pictures…
The cover…which you already saw in the other post. But this time the ribbons are all there.
