Project 52: Week 26-morning

Week 26 and we are exactly half way through the Project 52 photo challenge. I will be the first to admit that I haven’t done so well with this challenge. I got behind and haven’t caught up all the way but I am trying! If you have subscribed the blog (and if you haven’t yet, you should) you have probably noticed that I have been post-dating some of the weeks I missed.

But, I am not behind this week.

There is a story to this picture. Sometime in the middle of the night, before this picture was taken, I left my comfortable bed because it had been taken over by a 75 lb dog and a 52 lb kid. I had been trying to get back to sleep for awhile when I final realized that it was going to happen and I moved myself to the couch. After I woke up, I grabbed the book I was reading and read for awhile. Eventually the aforementioned dog and child came out looking for food. I took care of that and then heading back to the couch and my book. Just before I sat down I thought, “I should take a picture of the sun coming through the trees for my word this week!”

It was a good idea but there was a problem. I was still in my pj’s and it wouldn’t be polite for me to go outside and take a picture in my pj’s. So I grabbed my phone, lined things up a little bit, snapped the picture and settled in and read for another hour.

What a great morning that was.
